T-shirt sales benefit three organizations chosen by the announcers. Gary selected the Women’s Shelter of Greater Danbury, which provides shelter and support to victims of domestic violence. Keith, whose mother died of Alzheimer’s at age 59, chose the Cobble Hill Health Center in Brooklyn, a non-profit organization that cares for the elderly with Alzheimer’s and other related mental diseases. Ron’s charity is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, having been touched by the disease when his youngest son was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at age 11.with Gary, Keith and Ron Day at Shea. Thanks to t-shirt sales and an anonymous contribution, tickets to the afternoon Mets-Giants game were donated to the Boys and Girls Club and other area organizations that work."
