 Lynn Cohen - the visionary behind Pitch in for a Good Cause Foundation (Gary, Keith and Ron) has just been mentioned on News Times... "Lynn Cohen of Ridgefield isn't so lucky. The fibromyalgia that's afflicted her since 2001, has left her highly sensitive to medications of all types. Cymbalta helped with her pain, but caused sweat to just pour off her body. "Whatever the side effects of medications are, I get them three times over," Cohen, 47, said. Instead, she's chosen to concentrate on a holistic approach, watching her diet and trying to get rid of foods that might send her condition spiraling downward. She's also learned to anticipate what fibromyalgia does to her...
Cohen of Ridgefield can't manage her old job as a social worker. Instead, she runs a charitable foundation, the Pitch In For a Good Cause Foundation, from her home, with the proceeds going to the Greater Danbury Women's Center. That allows her to rest when she needs to, and work when she can.
